Gosh the Victorian government is generous, not a word from NSW…
The Victorian Government is offering compensation for “reasonable out-of-pocket expenses” if you were affected by the Telstra outage that disrupted the V/Line network on 8-9 July. If you had to pay for alternative transport to complete your journey, you can submit a claim with your receipts. It won’t cover things like lost income, but transport costs and other reasonable expenses will be assessed case by case.
Claims close 27 July 2026, and you’ll need to fill out the online form and upload your receipts.
