Skybus’ Eastern Express is finally back after being on pause since COVID. From 31 August, you’ll be able to jump on from Watsonia, Box Hill or Doncaster and head straight to Melbourne Airport without the whole bus/train shuffle.
They’re kicking things off with an intro fare of just $9.99 one way (normally $21–$24) and the ticket’s valid for 3 months after you buy it. Family and senior fares are also slashed, with return trips going for $19.98.
The ride takes about 60–80 minutes depending on where you hop on and traffic. If you’ve been missing the direct route or just want a cheaper way to get to the airport from the east, this is a pretty solid option.
