Exetel’s gone early and dropped a brand new NBN 500 plan before the official rollout date. If you’re on fibre to the premises or HFC, you can sign up right now. It’s called the Exetel One plan and they’ve even scrapped all their other NBN options to focus on this one.
It’s $80 a month and gets you up to 500Mbps down and 50Mbps up. That’s seriously fast for the price, cheaper than a lot of slower plans out there. No intro discount, but it’s still really good value.
There are a few handy features too. You can boost to gigabit speeds for $1 a day if you need extra speed for a big download, or slow it down to NBN 12 and save $1 a day when you’re away. There’s even a referral program that gives you $1 off per friend who signs up, and it stacks.
Exetel’s been delivering really solid speeds in ACCC reports, so this should be a good one. If you’re already with them and on a compatible connection, you can switch over in the app.
