So I just saw Cyberpunk 2077 going for $19 at Big W. I remember this thing was like $80 or $90 on preorder back in the day, and after all the launch drama, I never ended up grabbing it. But now, with all the updates, patches, and Phantom Liberty expansion fixing things up, I’m kinda tempted.
Anyone who played it recently—worth picking up at this price? Or still a buggy mess?
About Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 is that game that had everyone hyped to the moon, crashed hard at launch, and then somehow pulled off a redemption arc worthy of a Hollywood blockbuster. Set in the neon-soaked, chaotic streets of Night City, it throws you into a world of mercenaries, corporate overlords, and cyber-enhanced chaos. You play as V, a merc trying to make it big while dealing with a digital ghost of Keanu Reeves living in your head—because why not? After a rocky start, CD Projekt Red kept at it, dropping patches, expansions like Phantom Liberty, and a full-on gameplay overhaul that actually made it the RPG everyone wanted. Now? It’s less of a glitchy meme-fest and more of a cyberpunk dream come true.
