Hi all.. ok so I’m trying to help out my folks here and read about many people doing this re boost mobile and cash rewards/cashback/top cashback etc but I’m lost with the whole step by step process and order which things need to be done..
As usual they leave things to the last minute before they expire.
So the situation is.. their existing 365day boost mobile prepaid sim is expiring in the next few days… they want to stick with boost and keep their existing ### I’ll refer to it as xxx haha
Anyways apparently you got to be a new customer to get the cashback… or something like that..
So we need to buy a new boost mobile 365day sim.. and redeem cashback…
People say they port out to a different company and port back in again to make all this happen..
I’ve tried to research and ask around .. been trying to work it out all of yesterday.. last night and didn’t sleep! Still lost today!
So for anyone who has done it.. is this right or not quite please
**Current status using boost mobile sim with number xxx expiring in a few days
1. Buy new Aldi SIM not activated with hopefully a visible Aldi number xox to use?
2. Buy new boost sim using top cashback using Aldi number xox to get the boost sim deal, and wait for it to be delivered
3. Activate Aldi SIM and port my existing boost number xxx over …so Aldi now owns xxx Wait for a bit..
4. Activate new boost sim with their new boost mobile number xoo
5. Port xxx number from Aldi back to boost so boost number goes from xoo to xxx
Enjoy savings?
6. repeat when the annual SIM runs out?
Is this correct or I’m lost still please?
Thanks in advance!
This is correct but be mindful sometimes you can only port out once a month so just confirm restrictions with which carrier you decide to temporarily port the number to.
I think the safest is to Port out a non telstra network
