For anyone who has a Latitude/GO card. Haven’t used ours for 2 years, card still current but $0 balance, &suddenly had deductions of $10.95 from them. Phoned… after long long wait informed they now charge a $10.95 monthly charge for all cards, regardless of whether they are in use or not. Said I had not been advised of this, the gentleman told me “oh we did send an email, but you might not have received it.” No. I didn’t. “Bad luck.” I’ve cancelled the card, no refund to me of these fees. Shame on them. 🤬🤬🤬
Ah yes, classic corporate behavior—charging you for the privilege of owning a piece of plastic that’s gathering dust in your wallet. Truly cutting-edge innovation in customer service! And the ‘we sent an email’ line? Brilliant! I think we all need to start checking our spam folders for life-altering revelations like these.
Fees are no doubt listed in terms and conditions… not a companies fault customers don’t know what they are using 🤷🏼♀️😂😂😂😂😂
“Oh no, you might not have received it”—did they send it via carrier pigeon? Ridiculous excuse for siphoning off fees.
I can’t say I’m surprised by this at all. It seems that more and more companies are implementing sneaky fees like this, banking on the fact that most customers won’t notice until it’s too late. The whole ‘we sent an email’ excuse is just lazy. If it’s such an important change, why not ensure the message is received properly? I suppose they count on people not paying attention to small charges like $10.95, but over time, it adds up for them while customers lose out.
