If you’ve been eyeing a VR headset or thinking about upgrading to the Quest 3, now’s a great time to grab one. It’s dropped to $799.99 (usually $1,049.99), and they’re throwing in Batman: Arkham Shadow plus Meta Quest+ 3 months sub with the purchase too.
I’ve also been digging into the whole Quest 3 vs. Quest 3S debate. The 3S is definitely a solid budget pick, but there are trade-offs. It’s got a lower resolution, older lenses, and no audio jack compared to the regular Quest 3. Some people say it’s not worth the $500 — especially when you can find a second-hand Quest 2 or wait for a price drop on the full Quest 3, which has those nice pancake lenses.
That said, if you’re not trying to go all out for the full Quest 3, the 3S could be a decent option if you want more power than the Quest 2 without breaking the bank.
