For anyone dealing with the recent Optus price increase, I jumped on chat shortly after getting the email. They initially offered me 10 percent off and a $3 credit, but I wasn’t too keen. I asked to be passed to the retention team, and after a bit of back and forth, they gave me a $15 discount per month for the next twelve months.
I also made sure to stay on my current plan so I’d get the full benefit of the discount for longer.
Worth trying if you’re not happy with the price jump. Feels like one of those don’t ask don’t get situations. These companies are really pushing their luck lately.
